Doomsday.....Is it True?

Last week, I was running through the TV Channels, for some nice program to watch. None of the channels had anything interesting going on, except for 'History Channel' that caught my attention. It was a series - 'Decoding the Past' that I watched a couple of times before. The current episode was on 'Doomsday Prophecies'.

You might say you came across many such prophecies in the past, and none came true(or so it seems). And, that is a good enough reason to shun 'yet one more' (as many feel) prophecy. Will you do the same, if I say many religions and communities around the world believe that the face of earth and mankind will change drastically, if not end on 21st December 2012? Below is a brief of the prophecy -


Many religions, communities and greatest minds of today's golden era strongly believe that something is set to happen in 2012. There is abundant information and clues, in almost all areas - mythology, religion, science and technology etc. Everything points to the same date - 21st December 2012, and the timeline around it. Many don't believe in prophecies, mythology, ancient scripts/texts, and push aside the Doomsday Prophecy. But, even science seems to have some clues for the Doomsday Prophecy. Watch these videos, giving some possible explanation in terms of science.


What if the world really ends? What if 21st December 2012 effaces the entire mankind; or the events if true, leaves us with a totally changed and new Earth? What if the prophecy comes true this time?     This is the truth and noone can run away from this, but i really doubt the date, i don think u can actually predict things like this, every one knows that this is gonna happen but when only God can say. 2012 or someother time we better be prepared..Judgement day is near..Nice post and an interesting one too :-)

The lexicon meaning of 'Food for Thought' is 'anything that provides mental stimulus for thinking', 'intellectual nourishment' etc. But, recently I came across a website that made me think of another meaning for the same.
