'Seven Pounds' - one of the best movies I ever watched, to date. A beautifully crafted story with a soul, it takes you on an emotional ride. "God created the world in seven days, and I crashed mine in seven seconds", is an opening narrative. What follows is the story of a man who was the cause of a fatal crash - an accident that took seven lives, one of them was his fiancee. This tragic incident weighing heavily on him, he embarks on a journey of redemption - to better the lives of seven good people - by giving away his material possessions and donating his organs, including his heart (read 'life').  Like many others, I too pondered quiet a bit about the meaning behind the title. I had my own explanations, but looked up a bit to see what others thought too. Ever missed a flight to the place you love to go visit? It was finally the day - to get on my long procrastinated trip to Chicago. And just when I was thinking everything is going fine, I missed my flight this morning...:-( Never missed a flight ever; had always been early to the airport, even if it meant waiting a couple of hours after security check. Maybe just needed a little wake-up call - to not deviate from the a working routine and plan something crazy, especially when its a morning flight (I love my sleep!!)...;-) Anyways, I need to be creative in spending my next 3 hours - that's when my next & alternative flight is. This screw up of mine will make me miss my connecting flight, unless something miraculous happens and the flight supposed to take to Chicago gets delayed - as if just waiting for me (to take me down to Chicago). If only that happens.....who knows, sometimes dreams may come true right? :)) Its been over an year since I've been to Chicago. I always...

Some of you know that I'm now one of the many amateur aquarists out there. Call it a new hobby, or a random act, I seem to like it. :-) Check out the 2 beautiful goldfish I brought home about a month back. I still am wondering why I left this blog so idle for a very long time; not that I'm a seasoned blogger like some of my close friends who are really good at what and how they pen. Seeing all those blogs...yeah, you heard me right - I said 'seeing' not 'reading'.;-) To be honest, I never enjoyed much of reading. For whatsoever reason, even if I open a book with great enthusiasm, its not long before I doze-off with the book still in my hand. But, I tend to read something which catches my eye and attention. I guess am more interested in a writing based on whats in the first few lines or pages (going beyond "Don't judge a book by its cover"? LOL!!). Sounds crazy right....? But, believe me....I was almost always right, though the ratio of what I saw to what I read is not too impressive a number. Anyways, impressed and inspired by all those bloggers (my friends included) out there who are good and different in their own ways, a random thought - 'Wh...

Most of us do not realize that 'the best' comes out of the 'least expected' sources. Maybe that's why one of the judges calls it being cynical. The very audience who laughed, were swept off their feet and ended up giving a standing ovation. I guess most of guessed who this is all about. If not, check for the latest sensation of "Britain's Got Talent". She is 'Susan Boyle'. What an incredible voice. If you get a chance, compare it to Elaine Paige's version as well. After you listen to Susan, I'm sure you'll learn where 'the best' comes from. You'll also remember what it means to 'never judge a book by its cover'.
