Inconvenient Truth!!

Ever wondered why there has been abrupt changes of climate/weather all across the world? Ever thought why the summers are getting hotter, and winters colder?
Downpours no rains, floods, earthquakes, loss of coast line, and many a disaster that seem like wrath of nature. Ever thought of the reasons behind these life endangering events? "Global Warming" takes the blame for all these events of nature. Wondering who is to be blamed for Global Warming? We. All those who watched 2004's "The Day After Tomorrow" might have got a hint of the power of Global Warming. Most of us watched it as a movie; but, very few of us realized that that is a future inevitable, if proper steps are not taken to protect our "Planet Earth". Life-threating changes that started increasing beginning last decade forces us to think about Global Warming. Means to curtail the increasing fury of nature is not just a fight against Global Warming, but safeguarding the very existence of mankind.

Thanks to many scientists and visionaries around the world, who are working relentlessly to come up with better ideas to save the world without/with minimal compromise with our lifestyle. Saying No to Incandescent Bulbs, No to Plastic, Not Wasting & better usage of Non-Renewable resources, developing environment-friendly lifestyle and technology are some of
the intiatives for a gaint step towards a better future. So, think before you use plastic, light bulbs, wasting water and power, to start with. These small things when practiced by all really makes a difference. Car pooling, using eco-friendly vehicles (like hybrid), using solar power means less income tax in some countries; i.e, incentives for being eco-friendly. Let's all vow to choose an eco-friendly lifestyle. Let future be not a scarecrow for the generations to come. Let "Taming of Nature" not be a term eternal. What you give, is what you get. So, lets together make a diference to make our Earth, a safer place.

Food........For Thought.

The lexicon meaning of 'Food for Thought' is 'anything that provides mental stimulus for thinking', 'intellectual nourishment' etc. But, recently I came across a website that made me think of another meaning for the same. The website contains a kind of Quiz on Vocabulary. For every word that you get right, United Nations donates 20 grains of Rice to help fight world hunger; so the site says.
