My First One!!

Writing has been one of my passions(.....not sure if it had been my misconception, all the way long).

I always grappled for words to put my thoughts in black and white. Tried my hand at poetry; fortunately, a few came out well. But, I wouldn’t call it a success, as I had a higher fiasco rate. Of late, have come across many a Blog. Some wonderful Blogs, with some extremely impressive stuff pushes me forward to experiment with my thoughts, ideas and words, yet again. My mind always wandered and still does so. I guess, the name of this space indicates that fact. :-) Hoping, some nice stuff comes out before the saga of “disaster with words” continues.

Why do we have Castes and Religions? Like many others, I was, and am haunted by this question. I'm still trying to figure out possible reasons. It seems like a brain-child of our ancestors of yesteryears; formulated to create a social hierarchy, group people per their chores and use them for their own needs. Food........For Thought.

The lexicon meaning of 'Food for Thought' is 'anything that provides mental stimulus for thinking', 'intellectual nourishment' etc. But, recently I came across a website that made me think of another meaning for the same. The website contains a kind of Quiz on Vocabulary. For every word that you get right, United Nations donates 20 grains of Rice to help fight world hunger; so the site says.
